History
In 1981,
The Johnson Corporation decided to open a factory-owned sales
office to cover Texas, Oklahoma and Northern Louisiana. This
office started in Longview, Texas was the beginnings of what later
became Flowmatics.
Under the leadership of Lynn Hackler, this office
grew to six employees by 1984. At that time, Johnson wisely
recognized the need for additional product lines in order to support
the growing branch office. They endorsed the idea of Lynn's change
to a manufacturers' representative organization. Flowmatics was
born!
Six months later our second major line was added,
Leslie Controls. Through the years other product lines have
come and gone, but the overall goal is to provide our customers with
outstanding products and exceptional technical assistance.
To better cover North Texas and Oklahoma,
Flowmatics relocated its operations to the Dallas area (Grand
Prairie) in 1987. In 1995 a branch office was opened in the Tulsa
area (Broken Arrow) to service Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.
Then in 2002 the new President, Curtis Irwin, moved the Grand
Prairie office to a larger facility in Richardson.
Today, with its high level of technical
sophistication and sales experience, Flowmatics is held in high
regard by principals, customers, peers and competitors alike.
